A good weekend...

The earlier part of Friday was spent running to a few appointments and getting haircuts. Then the entire family was outside until 9:30 that night working in the yard, pulling weeds, mowing (not me as I do not DO the mowing thing) and just playing with one another.  The kids were exhausted but had a blast.  We came in and ate something, not sure what, and the kids got to bed around 10. Saturday we were up and out to the Farmer's Market.  We bought our usual yummy sausages from Big Lost River Meats and our freezer is stocked for a bit. I also bought some more tomato plants. Alan just CAN'T wait to make spots out back for them. I know he is really really looking foward to it. I am looking forward to the tomatoes at the end of the season!!!

Speaking of tomatoes... anyone out there grow them and grow them well? Whenever I plant them I typically get about 6 pieces of fruit to eat. That is a lot of labor for just those few.

I  spent my Saturday evening with a very fun, yet very insane, group of women. There was great food, lots of laughs, and enough smiling going on to get me through the entire weekend. And I swear, there was more talk about farts there that evening than you would normally hear from a group of tween boys. Those women can make you blush.

Sunday was good. We tried a new church and in the afternoon I had one of those naps that leaves you not knowing where you are when you wake up. Boy I needed that! Then the boys and I went on a long walk and the sweating was all good.

I'm just all full of the warm and fuzzies right now. Love the kids, love the husband, maybe love the critters, and the enormous pile of laundry waiting for me doesn't scare me one bit.
